Just over a year ago, Greg's parents were "assigned" by BYU to serve in Israel for 18-24 months. There are no missionaries in Israel, only support staff. They were assigned by the President of BYU, under the direction of the Board of Directors...and set apart by their stake president.
Shortly thereafter, we decided to take advantage of their being in Israel and we used the vast majority of our frequent flyer miles to reserve flights for Greg, Julie, Melissa, Jenna, and Lauren. In the latter part of 2007 our family read the entire New Testiment for family scripture study.
We are so excited to walk where the Savior walked. For months, we have prepared FHE lessons to learn about the Holy Land...made holy by Him who lived and died there. We are hoping and praying for the very best experience for our family.
